THE TRAINING PROGRAM

This 80 hour, three or six week course will prepare the student for an entry-level position within a Nursing Facility. Michigan certified basic nursing procedures with emphasis on competent and compassionate care is the focus and foundation of our program.

Upon conclusion of the program students will have earned a certificate of completion and are eligible to take the State Licensing Tests to receive an annually renewable Competency Evaluated Nurse Aide registry.

WMIS backs all of its graduates with a guarantee. If one of our students does not pass the state test on the first try we will put them through a 6 – 8 hour review class for free. WMIS is committed to quality in our students and is willing to back up that statement with a written guarantee.

The State Test Review class is open to graduates of any state licensed CNA program or a candidate with a Michigan exemption from training certificate. This 6-8 hour class covers the clinical skills you may be tested on.

Custom CNA classes and specialized teaching are available to your company. A guaranteed number of eight students are required for this type of class. The students are then eligible to be trained with your facility’s paperwork and charting forms. This provides a sense of familiarity to the new employee when they begin orientation as a CNA candidate.
